Autumn Leaves: Freshwater Pearl Leaf Necklace Earrings Set

Blister Pearl Leaf Necklace Earring Set ©BittersweetRidgeJewelry.com

Let the leaves fall...  especially if they're as gorgeous as this blister pearl pendant!  Wonderful shimmers of creamy white and ivory, carmel and taupe, with softest blush pink.  I accented this beauty with soft blush pink freshwater pearls for the necklace.  Super pale in color, I dare say you could call them neutral.  Bali sterling silver accents both the necklace and the coordinating earrings.

Aqua Rose in Bloom Freshwater Pearl Necklace

This is a very romantic handmade rose necklace.  The pendant is a hand carved glass rose in beautiful pale aquamarine blue.  For the necklace I combined genuine freshwater pearls in a coordinating pale aqua, hand wire wrapped with gold jeweler's wire.  I couldn't resist adding some sparkle with brilliantly faceted smoky quartz rondelle beads.

A gorgeous, feminine statement necklace.  Perfect for summer parties and wedding, plus this pretty necklace would make a fabulous gift for a special someone.

Copper Anklet with Freshwater Pearls

This handmade copper ankle bracelet is simply beautiful. I've taken creamy white Freshwater Pearls and used copper jeweler's wire to hand wire wrap them together.  Perfect any time, but so easy to imagine this as bridal jewelry for a beach wedding.

Not only is this ankle bracelet lovely, but it's also a great arthritis remedy.  Copper is used to alleviate the discomfort of menstruation and arthritis.  It's said to prevent the wear and tear and calcification of the joints.  Pearls reduce allergies and help to alleviate chronic headaches.  Now that's an awesome healing combination.

Autumn Leaves and Freshwater Pearls: Happiness

Normally it might be a stretch to suggest that leaves, autumn or otherwise, have anything at all to do with pearls.  However, they definitely belong in the same sentence describing this exquisite blister pearl leaf necklace.

I love blister pearls. The focal point of this piece is a wonderful hand carved leaf blister pearl in shades of creamy white & ivory, carmel and taupe, and soft blush pink.  I've used silver to hand wire wrap gorgeous soft blush pink freshwater pearls in this necklace. Extremely pale, they're almost a sort of feminine neutral. Bali sterling silver accents both the necklace and the coordinating earrings.
What makes this even more meaningful is that pearls symbolize a woman's perfect beauty. A pearl necklace is believed to warn sensitive people of imminent danger. Pearls promote wisdom and contentment; soften pain and bring joy.  And a single leaf symbolizes happiness.

Now, that's a brilliant combination!  Browse more romantic necklaces at Bittersweet Ridge Jewelry.

About Pearls...

I’ve never met anyone who does not admire pearls.

Pearls are calcified objects made by shellfish from the same material that they use to form their shells. Sand or some other foreign material gets under the skin of an oyster and irritates its skin. In response, the oyster coats the offending grain over a period of time with layers of pearly smooth calcium. The result is a pearl. Pearls are the product of both salt and freshwater oysters. Colors range from silver, cream, gold, green, blue, black and can be dyed. Pearls are found in the Persian Gulf, coasts of Central America and north Australia and Japan.

Pearls have been worn in jewelry by kings and emperors for thousands of years and can be admired in museums all over the world. The pearl jewelry of the Queen of Sheba is legendary. Lucifer is said to have broken his teeth because of his craving for pearls.
Pearls can stabilize the production of hormones. They are also used to alleviate chronic headaches and migraines.
Oysters are feminine in nature - they contain an embryonic object within them - and become tuned to the phases of the moon, which control tidal changes. Pearls are in tune with women, especially pregnant women. Long the symbol of woman’s perfect beauty, pearls also symbolize modesty and purity. A soothing influence, pearls bring feelings of peace and reduces over-sensitivity.

With zodiacal affinity for Cancer, Pearls are also important for all the zodiac signs. Often used as the birthstone for June.

New Jewelry

I've added quite a bit of new jewelry to the shop in the past day or two.

The necklace shown above is simply lovely with its rhubarb - raspberry pink peacock freshwater pearls and carved mother of pearl rose. So feminine! There are even coordinating earrings with the same waterfall cluster of pearls and roses. Gorgeous!
You'll also find a couple of chunky necklaces. One combines huge faceted blue sodalite and white jade; the other is a necklace and earring set of rare forest jasper rectangles and Russian jade.
And don't miss all the new copper anklets and bracelets - copper combined with carnelian, lapis, clear quartz, turquoise, jade and lots more!
