Caught in the Ice Storm: Citrine Flower Necklace

Imagine a lovely new spring blossom openning it's petals to spring, only to be surprised by Mother Nature.  Frozen in ice and captured for all time.

Big fat icey clear rock crystal quartz gemstone beads are accented with sterling silver in this hand crafted flower necklace.  Centerpiece is a three dimensional highly detailed flower blossom of more quartz.

I've accented it with a cluster of natural Citrine gemstones for a flower stamen.

Stunning in person.  Perfect for that romantic evening out on the town, a day at the office, or simply with your favorite blue jeans.

It's Spring at Bittersweet Ridge

If the last few days are any indication, this spring promises to be glorious! Everything is blooming or budding. Tulips, jonquils, magnolias, forsythia, spirea... our pink flowering crab trees... the fruit trees... and the redbuds should be in full bloom in a day or two. The dogwood can't be far behind. Sigh, I love spring!
I've been busy in the studio with lots of new flower jewelry. Just can't help myself... I've got a bad case of spring fever!

Spring Fever

It is an absolutely glorious day! A perfect spring day, in fact. I've been busy in the studio this week and have some new things I need to list on my web site, but Mother Nature has lured me outdoors for most of the day.

Great smells... my iris and roses seem to be in a fragrant competition, plus our neighbor is mowing his hay field today. Great sights... not only all my flowers blooming their hearts out, but also all the emerald green after so much rain... wow! Beautiful sunshine! I'm drunk with it all!

I'm playing at Scarlett O'Hara... tomorrow is another day and that's when I'll actually get some work done. Looking forward to showing you some photos of some new necklaces then.

Happy Spring!

It's Spring!

Here at Bittersweet Ridge spring is in full swing! We seem to have survived the latest hard freeze thanks to the wind. Forsythia, magnolia, redbud, and fruit tree blossoms are still going strong. And I've been in the studio. From copper ankle bracelets and scarab necklaces, I've now moved on to flowers... mostly in white. I'll post some photos of the new wedding whites soon.

Celebrate Spring!

For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;

the flowers appear on the earth;

the time of the singing of birds is come ...
